Project Spotlight: Restoring a Sun-Faded Front Door for Mr. & Mrs. Kingsley in Eagle, Idaho

Last Updated: January 1, 2024

We recently had the pleasure of working with Mr. & Mrs. Kingsley in Eagle, Idaho, who reached out to us with a common problem: a scratched and sun-faded wood front door that had lost its original beauty. They wanted to restore the door to its former glory and protect it from further damage due to sun exposure and the harsh Idaho weather. At Spray ’n Coat Painting, we were excited to help them bring their door back to life with our expert wood staining services.

Here’s What We Did:

  • Sanding & Stain Matching: We began by carefully sanding the surface of the door to remove the faded top layers and smooth out the scratches. Then, we matched a custom stain to closely restore the door’s original color and enhance the wood’s natural grain.
  • UV Stable Clear Finish: To protect the door from future fading and weather damage, we applied up to two coats of a high-quality UV stable clear finish. This finish helps seal the wood, preventing moisture and sun damage while maintaining the door’s newly refreshed look.

Project Impact:

The restoration of Mr. & Mrs. Kingsley’s front door not only brought back the warmth and elegance it had originally, but it also ensured that the door is now better protected against the harsh outdoor elements. By applying a custom stain and protective finish, we helped preserve the door’s beauty for years to come while adding value to their home. At Spray ’n Coat Painting, we take pride in our attention to detail and commitment to making sure every project, big or small, is done right.

Thank You, Mr. & Mrs. Kingsley!
