Project Spotlight: Beautiful Wood Staining & Interior Painting for the Blood Family’s Cascade Cabin Retreat

Last Updated: January 1, 2024

The Blood family recently bought a cabin in Cascade, Idaho, with dreams of transforming it into a family retreat for generations to come. They reached out to Spray ’n Coat Painting to help bring that vision to life, looking for quality finishes that would capture the cabin’s natural warmth and durability. As part of a larger renovation effort, we focused on creating a lasting, polished look for the cabin’s wood surfaces and interiors to perfectly complement the other work going on.

Here’s What We Did:

We took great care with each step of this project to make sure the finishes would not only look stunning but also stand up to years of use as a cherished family getaway:

  • Wood Prefinishing: With 4,400 square feet of tongue-and-groove pine delivered to our shop, we prepped, sanded, stained, and sealed each piece, ensuring every baseboard, casing, and door was ready for installation with a rich, beautiful finish.
  • Final Interior Painting: Once the renovation was nearly complete, we primed and painted the walls, ceilings, and closets, adding the finishing coat after other contractor work was done to ensure a fresh, flawless look.
  • Detailed Touch-Ups: After the baseboards and casings were installed, we came in for final touch-ups, making sure each detail was in perfect condition.
  • Clear Coat Sealing: For the cabin’s interior gable ends, we applied a clear coat that protects the wood and brings out its natural beauty, setting a warm, rustic tone throughout the cabin.

Project Benefits & Impact:

The Blood family now has a beautifully finished retreat where they can unwind and make memories together. Our work on the wood surfaces and interior paint has created a cozy, inviting feel that will welcome them each time they visit. The durable finishes ensure this family retreat will stay beautiful and protected for years, ready for all the gatherings, celebrations, and quiet getaways they envision.

Thank You to the Blood Family!

We’re so grateful to the Blood family for choosing Spray ’n Coat Painting to be part of their cabin’s renovation journey. It’s a privilege to help families across the Boise Metro area and beyond, from Cascade to Nampa, build spaces they love.
