We are an EPA-certified firm, but we are not a lead abatement company and do not perform full lead paint removal. Our Lead-Safe Renovation, Repair, and Painting Process
Lead paint is not always obvious. A home may have newer paint on the surface while older lead-based coatings remain underneath, especially around siding, trim, windows, doors, fascia, and other painted exterior areas. Our process starts by confirming whether the home was built before 1978, providing the required lead hazard information, and testing the painted surfaces that may be disturbed during the project.
If lead paint is present, we adjust the work plan instead of treating the home like a standard repaint. This may include protective containment, caution tape, safe access planning, proper protective equipment, careful paint chip collection, and bagging debris for disposal. We do not sand lead-positive paint as part of our process. Once the necessary prep is complete, we repaint the approved surfaces using the right primers, coatings, and application methods for the home.
